I was going to come, and before I could; he lifted me up.

  Like I was a feather.

With his hands on my hips, he pulled me up and then pushed me down on his lap. I sat on his cock, it slid right into me, parting my swollen throbbing pussy till he was thrust tightly inside me.

I moaned aloud and he grunted too. Clark’s face had darkened, he was staring right into my eyes.

I could feel the length of him, deep inside me. Every inch of him was strong and powerful and now he was going to fuck me.

I chewed on my lips, my orgasm was building up even more and then I started rocking. Clark and I were moaning together, while I rode him.

I bounced on his lap, with my arms wrapped around his neck. We were looking at each other, staring straight into each other’s eyes. I could feel him deep inside me, filling me up. He held me tightly, his cock had reached the deepest part of me.

I threw my head back in pleasure. I could feel my whole body shaking as we rocked. I was about to come.

I dug my nails into his back, and his cock slid in and out of me. I bounced on him, my breasts bounced too till finally, I cried out his name and I felt the explosion inside me.

My toes curled and I felt a flood of release. Clark grunted and I could feel him coming too. His arms were wound around my waist, his neck had gone red. I felt him shoot his cum into me, filling me up.

“God, you are so beautiful!” He groaned while he continued to thrust. In and out, his cock was still pumping into me, till finally, I could feel my orgasm beginning to diminish.

I was breathless and panting. I could even feel beads of sweat on my forehead. Slowly, I moved over him and his cock slipped out of me. I could feel our cum mingled together and sliding down the insides of my thighs.

Clark was breathing hard too, glaring at me like he regretted his actions already. I gulped, swinging my legs over him and moving away. I collapsed on the couch beside him, and I watched as he bent his head backward and let out a huge sigh.

He was staring up at the ceiling, and I tried not to glance at him.

It was the best sex I ever had, and I thought Gordon was good!

“That shouldn’t have happened,” he said abruptly, while I was still reeling from the afterglow of my orgasm. I snapped my head around to look at him. He was refusing to meet my eyes.

I watched as he ran a hand through his hair, and then hurriedly got up and started picking his clothes off the floor.

He was doing that thing again.

Hot and cold. Near and far.

Why couldn’t he just decide once and for all what he really wanted!

I started gathering my clothes too.

“Tessa, I’m sorry,” he continued and I looked up at him with fire in my eyes.

“What are you apologizing for?” I snapped.

For a change, Clark actually looked apologetic.

“For all this!” He flapped his arms on his sides.

“You think you somehow tricked me into this? You really think I didn’t want this too?” I asked, while I slid on my panties and hooked my bra.

  Clark clenched his jaw.

“I had no intention of sleeping with my brother’s ex-girlfriend,” he said.

“But you want to pretend like you are!”

He clamped his mouth shut, watching me put on my clothes again. I stood up from the couch. He was wearing his pants and his shirt, but he hadn’t buttoned them up yet. So I could still see just how delicious his muscular chiseled chest looked.

“I am not Gordon,” he grunted. Clark’s eyes were heavy-lidded and he was glaring. Like he wanted to prove something to me.

  “I know that!” I snapped.

“I don’t want to do what he’s doing. I want him to think I am, yes, but I don’t want to stoop as low as that!” He growled.

“So, you think sleeping with me is stooping low?” I asked. There was a sizzle in my voice.

Clark moved towards me and I stepped away from him. He kept going, till he’d finally backed me up against a wall. He was towering over me, his hot breath falling on my face.

“You’ve got it all wrong, Tessa. You have no idea how much I’ve wanted this. Wanted you,” he said.

My nostrils were flared. I watched as his mouth moved. Could he actually be saying those words? Did he really want me? I found that hard to believe. Clark Webber was the kind of man who could have any woman he wanted.

“But I can’t have you, because you were in a relationship with my brother for eight months. Because I know he seriously had feelings for you, and I know you had feelings for him too. Starting anything with you would be wrong. That would be stooping low, and I will not allow myself to do that.”

Clark’s voice was deep and threatening. With those words, he backed away from me and I felt like I could finally breathe again.

My breasts were heaving. I felt dizzy. I couldn’t grasp his logic. I didn’t understand what was wrong with us having sex. All I knew was that he was rejecting me, just like Gordon had.

Clark stood at some distance from me, buttoning his shirt.

“Yeah, you’re right. This should not have happened. I should have known better than to sleep with another Webber man,” I said.

He snapped his head up to look at me with his brows crossed. I could see my words had affected him. He didn’t want to be equated with his brother.

“You’re both the same. Selfish and unreliable,” I hissed.

Clark clenched his jaws angrily. I thought he was going to react to that, but he didn’t.

“I’ll show you to the bedroom. I’ll take the couch tonight,” was all he said.

  Clark

I couldn’t sleep last night either, knowing that Tessa was in the same home, just a few doors away from me.

Sex with her was amazing, but I also knew it was wrong. Something that couldn’t be repeated. When I saw her, when I was around her—I wanted her. I didn’t think. Now, the consequences of my actions were settling in and I saw myself the way she saw me.

I didn’t blame her for comparing me to my brother.

I had disappointed her too, just like Gordon had. And Tessa deserved so much more than that.

In the morning, when I dragged myself off the couch and went to the kitchen, I found Tessa and Penny fussing over Alfie. He was excited to have her with him. I knew he was glad that she’d finally moved in with us.

I wished it was as simple as Alfie thought it was. Tessa was refusing to speak to me directly.

Soon, she got ready for work, said her goodbyes to Alfie, and left. I offered to drive her myself, since we were going to the same place, but she refused.

At the office, Tessa stayed out of my radar, and even though I wanted to speak to her—I resisted. She deserved some time away from me, and she definitely didn’t want to talk to me. But I couldn’t stop thinking of her beautiful body. How she’d felt when she bounced on my lap. Being inside Tessa was the most exhilarating yet peaceful thing I had ever experienced.

And I wished things were different. I wished we could actually be together.

After lunch hour, I was sitting in my office, trying to go over a big project I was overseeing, when my secretary buzzed me on the intercom.

“Mr. Webber, your brother is here to see you,” she said.

  “My brother?” I barked.

“Yes, Mr. Gordon Webber,” she clarified.

I looked at my watch. According to my last conversation with Celine, they weren’t supposed to get here for another four days.

“Send him up,” I said and sat back in my chair.

This was bad timing. This was terrible timing.

I hadn’t had the chance to warn Tessa. We weren’t even on talking terms right now. The plan was going to go caput.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door and before I could answer, Gordon walked into my office.

“Hello, Brother,” he said, shutting the door behind him.

  I glared
at him, feeling that nasty feeling rise up in my bones again. The last time I saw him, my ex-wife’s ankles were pressed to his ears and his bare butt was on display.

I couldn’t get that image out of my head.

“What are you doing here, Gordon?”

“Here, as in Chicago? Or here, as in your office?” He mocked me with a smile as he approached my desk.

“You weren’t supposed to be here for another four days!” I raged at him. Without invitation, Gordon took the seat across from me.

“We got bored in London. Celine wanted to see the sights in Chicago, and we thought we’d just make an early trip. I’m sure Alfie would be delighted to see us,” he said.

I tried to calm myself, to even my breathing.

It was hard to imagine that just a few months ago, I would have given my right arm for this guy. My younger brother, who I’d always wanted to protect and look after.

“I’m not going to allow Celine to spend any more time with Alfie than what’s laid out in the custody agreement,” I snapped and Gordon shrugged his shoulders.

“It’s not like there’s some law forbidding us from being in Chicago, is there?” He answered with a smile.

“I have no interest in how you occupy yourselves the rest of the time. I just care about my son’s well-being,” I said.

Gordon pursed his lips and nodded.

“That is exactly what we want too, Brother. For Alfie to be happy,” he said and sat back in his chair.

I could feel myself panicking. This whole plan with Tessa was a mistake. I would have to cancel it. I was going to tell her to go back to her apartment, move to New York now if she wanted to—but I’d changed my mind. Doing this would mean me turning into Gordon. This was something my brother would do, and something I couldn’t see myself going through with.

  I hadn’t thought this through.

“Look, Clark, we never really spoke about the Celine thing,” he began and I clenched my jaw at him.

“There is nothing to talk about. You two want to be in a relationship, she’s your problem now,” I snapped.

Gordon smirked and shook his head.

“That’s the thing, Brother, you never really knew how to love that woman’s body,” he said and I could feel my blood boiling with rage.

“You’re right. I didn’t. Hope you’re doing a good job of it. Either way, I don’t give a shit, you get me?” I growled.

Gordon couldn’t stop smirking. He was enjoying this. He was enjoying watching me squirm.

“Not so high and mighty anymore, are you, Clark? All these years of being charitable and giving me your handouts and pretending like you were doing me these huge favors. Now look where we are. I’m the one fucking the woman you couldn’t keep,” Gordon continued.

There was viciousness dripping from his voice. As I glared at him, I could see in my brother’s eyes then; what he was truly capable of. He was not the man I thought I knew. All these years, he’d been harboring hatred towards me, while all I was trying to do was help him.

My office door opened behind him and I looked up to find Tessa stride in.

“Clark, we need to talk!” She snapped and crossed her arms over her breasts. I saw Gordon cross his brows when he heard her voice, and then slowly, he turned in his chair.

  Tessa

For the first few moments when I entered Clark’s office, I didn’t see anyone else except him sitting behind his desk. Then my eyes focused on a man sitting across from Clark. And even before he had turned to me, I knew who he was.

Gordon turned to face me and his brows were crossed. He was staring at me with as much disbelief as I was. Images of our time spent together flashed before my eyes. Those eight months of what I thought was utter bliss—which was all based on a heap of lies.

Nothing about Gordon had changed, though. He still had a head of shaggy dirty blond hair; his blue eyes were like his brother’s—brilliant and sparkling. He had a more rugged outdoorsy face, with a square jaw and a sharp nose.

He was wearing a pair of old faded jeans and a t-shirt that hung loose on his square shoulders. He still had those leather bracelets on his wrist.

“Tessa?” He said, and slowly stood up from his chair.

“Hello, Gordon,” I murmured as he walked towards me.

“What are you doing here?” He asked.

His smooth voice traveled straight through me, sinking somewhere in my soul. I tried to think—why had I fallen for this man? He was still as handsome, he still had that same charming smile. And yet, I couldn’t revive those same feelings for him anymore.

Gordon did not stir up those raw emotions I felt when I looked at Clark.

He was sitting silently behind his desk, his eyes focused on me.

“I work here,” I replied and Gordon came closer to me. His gaze traveled all over me. I licked my dry lips.

“What are you doing here?” I asked and he blinked a few times.

“I came back to Chicago for you, Tessa. I came here to find you,” he replied.

Hearing those words made my nostrils flare.

He was still lying! How could he so blatantly lie to me?

I gritted my teeth at him angrily, but I couldn’t get any words out.

“How are you, my love? You look just as beautiful as always,” he said, smiling at me. While I stood in front of him, he reached a hand out towards my face. He was going to touch me.

I swerved, stepping quickly away from him.

“Don’t you think your girlfriend will mind? You talking to me like this?” I snapped.

  Gordon’s brows crossed.

  “Pardon me?”

“Your girlfriend, Celine. Does she know you’re saying these things to me? These lies?” I continued. Gordon squinted his eyes, confused about how I knew all this.

“What is going on here?” He grunted and I rolled my eyes at him.

Something snapped in me. I’d suddenly swung into action.

Walking away from him, I went to Clark’s desk. He was following my every movement with his eyes.

He was the one I wanted to be close to. He was the one I wanted to touch.

He watched me as I came to a stop beside him. I leaned in towards him, and before he could react, I kissed him square on the mouth. If Clark was taken by surprise, he didn’t show it. Instead, he caught me by my hair, pulling me closer to him. I kissed him ravenously, and his tongue slipped into my mouth.

I knew we had an audience, and this wasn’t exactly the most appropriate time for me to be turned on—but I couldn’t help it.

Kissing Clark had an effect on me I couldn’t control.

“What the actual fuck!” I heard Gordon’s voice.

I had no intention of stopping, but it was Clark who drew himself away. I licked my lips, slightly out of breath from the intensity of the kiss.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Gordon growled, rushing towards us.

Clark stood up from his chair. He reached for me, wrapping an arm around my waist.

“Kissing my girlfriend,” he replied matter-of-factly.

“Girlfriend? Are you serious? You have any idea who this is?” Gordon was raging at his brother. And for some reason, watching him like that brought a smile to my face.

“Yes, of course I know who this is, Gordon. Tessa Munro. The girl you dated for eight months here. The one you disappeared on without reason,” Clark replied.

  Gordon glanced at me then.

“How was Brazil?” I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.

“Tessa, I can explain all that!” He snapped and I rolled my eyes at him again.

“How did this happen? What is the meaning of all this?” He growled and Clark looked at me. I smiled.

“She applied for a job while we were setting up the offices. We met on one of my trips here. And what can I say…we ended up fucking in this office here. In fact, right where you’re standing, Gordon,” Clark replied.

I stifled another smile while G
ordon stepped away, running a hand through his hair.

“Is this some kind of twisted joke? You trying to get back at me, Brother?” He growled. Clark shrugged.

“What for? For sleeping with Celine? You know I don’t care about her. You’re free to do what you want, Gordon,” he said.

“This is insane. The two of you are crazy people. This insanity has got to stop!” Gordon’s face had turned red and I could see he was beginning to lose his temper. I didn’t feel threatened by him, not now while Clark’s arm was around me.

“And how exactly are you going to stop it, Brother?” Clark’s voice sizzled as he spoke.

“You’re going to regret this. Both of you!” He spat and then turning on his heels, he stormed out of the office, banging the door shut.

Once Gordon had left, Clark drew his arm away from my waist and turned to me.

“You shouldn’t have come into my office like that, Tessa!” He said.

  Clark

Everything that happened with Gordon in the room seemed like a daze. Now, Tessa was glaring at me with her arms crossed over her breasts.

“Isn’t this exactly what you wanted to happen?” She snapped and I ran a hand through my hair.

  “No.”

“You changed your mind?” She asked, her voice sizzling.

“Yes, Tessa! I changed my bloody mind!” I growled.

I walked away from her, placing my hands on the ledge of the window behind me. My shoulders were heaving. I felt like I was losing my mind.

“Why, Clark? Why did you change your mind?” I heard her say.

I could see her reflection in the window pane. She looked helpless and exposed as she stood there. Beautiful too, a tragic kind of beauty. A woman I wanted to protect from everything that was wrong in the world.

“Because I can’t do this to you, Tessa,” I said.

She sighed and shook her head.

“I don’t understand what you mean,” she said and I clenched my jaw in anger. I was angry with myself.
