Tessa was ready to go and she came up to me, to kiss my lips again.

“So, we’ll see you later?” She said and I kissed her back harder. Grabbing her by her waist, I pulled her to myself again and she giggled and struggled to get away from me.

“I have to wake up Alfie! Get him ready! No! No!” She shrieked and giggled as I jumped out of bed and caught her and pinned her to the bed again. Straddling her, I kissed her chin and her neck and all the way down to the top of her breasts.

“Clark!” She scolded me, as I cupped her breasts, flicking her nipples that I could feel now underneath the thin stretched fabric of her dress.

“How am I supposed to resist you when you look like this, woman?” I grunted. My cock was rock-hard and ready to explode. She bit down on her lip and arched her hips up towards me. She was thinking, deciding, but when I flicked her nipples and pinched them I knew she was going to give in.

Tessa moaned when I squeezed her breasts and rolled her hips. I started rolling the bottom of her dress up her thighs till I could see her wet lace panties.

“What do we have here?” I asked, playfully. Her eyes were shining bright as I touched her between her thighs.

“You are so irresistible, Clark Webber. Just take me!” She commanded.

  Epilogue

  Tessa

We were walking around Regent’s park, Alfie and I. He was telling me about everything that happened at the kindergarten last week. It was our usual routine. I took him for a walk on Saturday mornings, while Clark worked—so we could spend some quality time together.

I spent the weekends in London, arriving late on Friday nights and leaving late on Sunday nights. Clark sent his private jet to New York for the trip each week, and I usually worked on the flight.

I had to admit—the first couple of weeks that we tried out this arrangement, proved hectic. I was exhausted by Monday morning, too tired to even keep my eyes open during meetings. But slowly, I’d fallen into the rhythm of it.

I enjoyed every moment of my new life, and I couldn’t even imagine giving it up for anything. Not even for a few extra hours of sleep.

Clark usually came down to New York on Wednesdays and left again on Thursday nights. I was aware that it was a hectic schedule for him too—flying halfway across the world every week. I insisted that he should do it every alternate week, but Clark said he couldn’t spend that many days without me, so every week, he arrived at my doorstep.

We’d been carrying on like this for six months. Despite how unconventional our arrangement was, we were making it work. I was in love with Clark, and not a day went by when I didn’t know for sure, that he loved me too.

Gordon and Celine were gone from our lives now. After their arrest, they were charged and spent two nights in jail before being released on bail. At the short-lived trial, it was decided that they were both going to be given restraining orders. Thankfully, neither of them had tried to violate the restraining order’s terms yet.

  And Alfie wasn’t affected.

He was so pleased to have me in his life permanently, that nothing else seemed to matter to him. We tried to tell him as best as we could; what had happened with his uncle and his mummy and he seemed to understand.

Now, as we walked around the park, Alfie continued chatting, telling me about his friends. We had made the right decision. Alfie was much happier here, than he had been in Chicago.

He asked us often why I had to live in New York. It was hard for us to explain to him, that his father and I were still figuring out our relationship. I, especially, didn’t want to jump into another relationship without giving it some thought. Six months was a good length of time, but was it enough to know for sure?

“Daddy!” Alfie exclaimed, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up to find Clark walking towards us, his hands in the pockets of his long black coat. His hair was ruffled lightly in the breeze and he looked so handsome!

I let go of Alfie’s hand and he went rushing into his father’s arms. Clark lifted him up and I walked towards them.

“I thought you were meeting us later for lunch?” I said as he threw an arm around my shoulder and I kissed his rugged cheek.

“I didn’t go to work,” he explained and I looked at him with my eyes widened.

“I don’t think I’ve ever heard you say that!” I stated and Alfie giggled.

“If you weren’t at work, Daddy, then where were you?” He asked. Clark tapped the tip of his son’s nose and then looked at me. We were walking around, the three of us huddled together.

“At home, giving the two of you some time together. I didn’t want to gatecrash this party!” Clark exclaimed, which made Alfie giggle.

Clark put his son down and stopped in his tracks.

“I was also building up the courage to do something I’ve been trying to do for a few weeks now,” he continued. Alfie and I stopped in our tracks too and we turned to him. I was confused.

“You were scared?” Alfie asked in surprise and Clark nodded.

“Very scared,” he replied and I watched in shock as Clark bent down on one knee in front of us. Alfie stood by, confused by what he was witnessing.

My hands rose up to my mouth, I couldn’t speak from the shock.

“I was scared because I was worried that Tessa would say no,” Clark continued.

“Say no to what, Daddy?” Alfie asked, looking from his father’s face to mine.

I saw Clark slip out the velvet box from the pocket of his coat. He flipped it open and inside it was a beautiful diamond ring, the likes of which I had never set my eyes on before.

“Clark…” I whispered, overcome with emotion and excitement.

“Tessa, I wanted to ask, if you would do me the honor of being my wife. I know things have been somewhat unusual between us and I know you have a life and a career in New York, but I want you here, I want you here with us all the time,” Clark said.

Alfie was the one who squealed with joy and excitement, clapping his hands wildly.

“I love you, Tessa, and I know Alfie does too. You are already a part of this family, and I want you here. In London, in our home, as my wife and as Alfie’s mother.”

He was going to say something more, but I interrupted him. I fell on him, kissing him wildly and he kissed me back. I was breathless and overwhelmed. There were tears in my eyes, all tears of joy.

“I love you, Clark, and yes, of course, I’ll marry you. I cannot imagine a life without the two of you!” I exclaimed.

Clark slipped the ring on my finger, where it glowed and shimmered magnificently. He lifted me up in his arms and spun me around, and I laughed, clutching him with both hands. Alfie was clapping and jumping and spinning too.

Slightly dizzy and slightly out of breath, I knocked my head to Clark’s and kissed him lightly on his lips again.

“You’ve made me the happiest man in the world, Tessa,” he whispered and I smiled. He had no idea how happy he’d made me. I was going to marry the love of my life.
